Welcome to Chasing Paper! I'm Valeriya and I want to share my passion for paper crafting with you! :) I make Junk Journals, Art Journals, Modern Scrapbooks, and other Handmade Books. I love old paper and vintage ephemera, and I am always on the hunt - chasing paper quite literally! :) I can't wait to share my exciting finds with you, and to show you some of my completed journals. Great idea! I didn’t like using my oven as it dried out my paper too much and some even burned a bit. This is much safer.
These are adorable. My aunt collected match books for years and displayed them in a beautiful clear jar. I think I might make some of these and display them in a clear jar and when family and friends come over I will give them one for a cute useful surprise, thank you for teaching this adorable mini journal. Love your videos. ❤

@@chulisnaquis65 Thank you! Glad you like it! Tea paper has a pretty unique texture, but you can experiment with a coffee filter or just skip tea bags altogether and work with a brown paper bag alone. Happy crafting!

@@chasingpaper2022 I did recently made like yours, but little mistake but it still work. I found recipes for glue gloss, it’s only 2 to mix it to become glue gloss. I did use pen ink to leak on it, I rub it while use gloves. It’s awesome but not finish yet. I let dry. I wait till tomorrow to complete it. It’s so awesome.

Thank you so much, Marie! 💖 I may have shown my ephemera books on my Instagram awhile back. I use 3 types of books to hold my ephemera: vintage post stamp collecting albums (great for smaller pieces of ephemera and clipped words), older ring binder style photo albums with sticky pages (perfect for ephemera of any size), and ring binders filled with sheet protector sleeves and photo sleeves (these are great for holding larger ephemera and whole book pages or pieces in need of fussy cutting). Maybe it's time to show my ephemera holders again 😊🌺

I love this - such a simple method as well. I would like to glue this to a cover on a book which I'm making as a steampunk junk journal. What sort of glue should I use to apply it to the book cover?

Ok, I tried this 3 times, with my hands it wasn't easy to get such tedious folds. I came out with 3 different sizes...lol. I do love the idea and I will continue to practice until I get it perfect. TFS😊
@@mariejoiner6495 Here is a little tip 😉 If you are having trouble getting a consistent size, you can cut out a piece of an index card or a cardstock in a size of an envelope you like. Then simply place your card on top of a flattened cupcake liner and fold the sides around it. Then proceed to glue the edges and decorate as you like. Have fun! 🤗🌺
